Windows tips 1

February 8, 2007

  • Send to/ Move to: promotes the use of “one click solution” to desired destinations 🙂
    • “Destination brainstorming:  folders for archive, collections, books, unfiltered posts,… and “send to ” folder itself.

Applications: to quickly open unrecognized files with a named application or just be “manipulating” 🙂

    • How to Send to/Move to:

Open C:\Documents and Settings\ \ Send to folder
For folder and application: just copy shortcuts of them to the Send To folder or copy shortcut to send to folder there and send shortcuts to Send to Send to folder itself 🙂
For Send to Desktop as shortcut: search google.

For MoveTo: the same concept but keep the Shift button while doing the Right click.

  • Bookmarks: Since I migrated to Firefox a long time, I almost forget Favourite feature in Windows until I realize that Favourite bookmark is so useful in bookmarking folders in local computer!
